The cove
The beach and the cove
Pico de Loro Cove is a sheltered bay on Hamilo Coast, and the beach is the heart of it. The water is calm, the sand is soft, and the whole stretch is a short, easy walk from the buildings.
Most days here start and end at the shore. Your entrance fee covers beach access, so you can wander down in the morning, come back for lunch, and return for the light in the late afternoon. If you would rather be steps from the sand, our Family Suite sits in the building closest to the beach, a three-to-five minute walk away.
A dip inland
The pools
When you want a change from the sea, the resort has two pools, both covered by your entrance fee.
- Country Club pool
- The main pool at the Country Club, a short shuttle ride from the buildings, good for laps or a long float.
- Kids' pool with slide
- A separate, shallower pool with a slide — the easiest way to keep younger children happy for an afternoon.
On the courts
Sports and the gym
The entrance fee opens up the resort's sports facilities, so it is easy to fill an active day without leaving the cove.

- Courts for a morning match before the heat of the day settles in.
- Basketball
- A court for a pick-up game with the group.
- Bowling
- Lanes under cover — a good call when the sun is high or the sky turns grey.

On the water
Out on the bay
For time on the water, the cove has kayak and jet-ski rentals. Kayaking is the gentle option — an easy paddle along the sheltered shore — while a jet ski covers more of the bay.
Availability and rates for the rentals are set by the resort and can change with the season, so we do not publish figures that could go out of date. Message us and we will share the current details before you travel.
Getting around
Moving through the cove
You do not need a car once you are inside. A resort shuttle runs from 6 AM to 10 PM between the buildings, the beach and the Country Club, so nobody has to walk far between the sand, the pool and the courts.

Doing less
A slower day
Not every day at the cove has to be busy. Some of the best ones are the quiet ones.
- Fast fiber WiFi
- Reliable in-unit fiber means you can stream, work a little, or plan the next day without hunting for signal.
- Disney+ in the suites
- The TV in each apartment has Disney+, ready for a rainy afternoon or a lazy evening in.
- Time on the balcony
- A coffee in the morning, a book in the shade, the light over the water in the evening.
Both of our apartments make an easy base for this kind of day. The Boutique Suite has a balcony over the water, and the Family Suite gives a bigger group room to spread out between outings.
